I made a break in Fruity Loops, recorded that break and exported it to an audio file, put that audio file back in Fruity Loops, then just fucked with it. Added a layer of saturation over the whole thing to make it feel a little fuzzy to emulate the noise of an analogue phone. The beat itself is a nod to "Call & Response", which is a musical term. :)
